Bristol Exploring a Career in Art Therapy - Online Delivery

Open to all who wish to attend, particularly those considering an MA in Art Psychotherapy and who may be target beneficiaries of PAPERArts mainly ages 16-25. Exploring a Career in Art Therapy is particularly suited to anyone currently thinking about an MA in Art Therapy/Art Psychotherapy

The course will enable you to think about different ways of using art therapeutically and will provide you with rich case study material from a school setting and from work within the current refugee crisis in Calais and Bristol. The course will also have experiential elements of art therapy practise and use group discussion to enhance learning.

An understanding of different settings for art workshops and art therapy

How to work towards a qualification in Art Therapy Tools to deliver efficient, effective and sensitive art making sessions

Core skills for being an engaging arts facilitator


Sarah Robinson is an art therapist living and working in Bristol with experience of working in education settings on an individual basis, and in community settings running groups for refugees and asylum seekers. Sarah has a particular interest in trauma, displacement and how art making and art therapy can help to find a sense of belonging.
