Observation Expressive Techniques art therapy training groups... Carles Ramos Portas at the International Art Therapy Practice/Research Conference
15 March 2019
"I am very much looking forward to learning more about the status quo of art therapy practice and research in the world today at this Inaugural Conference and to sharing the work we have been doing in Barcelona” Carles Ramos Portas
Carles Ramos Portas is presenting a method of running art therapy training groups where the image-making is done outside the room, at home or in the studio space during the period of time between sessions.
This method emphasises the expressive possibilities of the art media over the dynamics of the group. It has proved to be particularly helpful in Barcelona where the training of art therapists is organised into separate blocks with a month time period between sessions.
