This course is intended for art therapists who are supervisors and for those who may be thinking about taking on this role. All levels of experience are welcome. Supervisory tasks may include clinical or managerial roles or both and supervisees may be experienced art therapists or students in training.
The course will provide theoretical input by looking at different models of supervision. Participants will have the opportunity to link theory to practice through contributions from their own supervisory experience in small groups. We will look at integrating different approaches and theories to make supervision efficient and focus on issues such as the role of the artwork, the interaction between managerial and clinical roles and the context and dynamics of the organisation.
