I have been on Council and taken up the responsibilities of co-ordinating the Regional Network for the last two years. I am also working with the Membership Group.
Since my training in 1989 I have a been involved as a Trainee Representative on Council, as Region 3 Co-ordinator, with the Newsbriefing team and as Regional Network Co-ordinator whilst on Council for several years up to 2000.
Then I stood down to focus on developing my private practice whilst working fulltime in the NHS and to re-engage with my studio practice more fully. I have worked in the NHS full-time for ten years and now work there part-time alongside my private practice. Throughout this time I have appreciated the opportunity to be involved organisationally with the BAAT and to contextualise and support my clinical practice within the broader picture of our work. One of the major strengths of the Regional Network is in developing and sustaining a supportive environment both informally and formally with its members.
