Attachment and The Arts

Venue: The Resource Centre, 356 Holloway Road, London N7 6PA

Date: Friday, 12 February, 2010

Keynote speaker: Professor Peter Fonagy, PhD FBA, Freud Memorial Professor of Psychoanalysis and Head of the Research Department of Clinical, Educational and Health Psychology at University College London; Chief Executive, Anna Freud Centre, London.

There has been a growing recognition and research evidence of the impact of attachments on human development. As the Arts play such a pivotal part in this process, it is timely to focus on this issue and to explore how this affects Arts Therapies. Presentations will address what can be learnt from the mentalization model and the growing involvement of the Arts Therapies in the Social Inclusion agenda.
