Implementing Access to Psychological Therapies /BABCP

The British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapy confirms that art therapy/psychotherapy is accepted as a relevant core profession for the purposes of BABCP practitioner accreditation. Due to an error, art therapy was previously left of the list of core professions.

Introduction to CATT

  • New dates for Children Accelerated Trauma Treatment course: since the previous training booked up very quickly, we have arranged new dates for this popular event which will now be on the 18th & 19th May 2010. Please do book early to avoid disappointment. Details of course and booking >>

Arts Therapies Service Users Survey

  • The four Arts Therapies Professional Bodies (Art, Music, Drama and Dance Movement) are keen to receive direct feedback from people with mental health problems who have experienced one or more of the Arts Therapies or are currently engaged in these. They also want to hear from those who may have found it difficult or impossible to access Arts Therapies. They would value your views and comments. The survey will not take more than a few minutes to complete. Click here to take part >>

Courses & training:

Newly qualified?

  • BAAT is doing its yearly survey of newly qualified Art Therapists. If you have qualified in 2007, 2008 or 2009, we would be very grateful if you could take a few moments to fill in the on line survey about how long it took you to get employment after qualifying and the type of work you are doing. This really helps us to make strategic plans for promoting art therapy to potential employers. Go to the survey here >>
